BLOCK YOUR DREAM VENUE IN ADVANCE

During wedding season, venues and destinations are likely to experience an overflow of bookings given the sheer surge in demand for the best locations. In order to not miss out, make sure to book the venue of your dreams well in advance. “Booking one’s venue a year and a half in advance or at least six months before the big day has become the new norm,” Ambika points out. “Whether it is a conventional wedding hall, an outdoor setting in an exotic destination, a boutique hotel, or a magnificent heritage property, ensure that you don’t miss out on the location you have your sights set on.”

All's not grim, however. Even within this space, some brands have cut through the greenwashing noise and stand out for complete transparency in their businesses. We speak to the founders of four such fashion brands who have prioritised a slow approach to making clothes and have an overall ethical outlook. They care for environmental and social impact as much as - if not more than their profit margins, finds Ashwini Arun Kumar
