NEW THRILLER
Bodies
From Thursday 19 October, Netflix

What if the same dead body kept cropping up at different points in time? That’s the unique, mind-boggling premise of new Netflix sci-fi crime thriller Bodies, which follows four detectives investigating the exact same murder in four different eras.

Based on Si Spencer’s 2015 graphic novel, the eight-part series is set in 1890, 1941, 2023 and 2053, and sees the same corpse – shot in the eye, naked, and with the same strange tattoo – mysteriously reappearing on Whitechapel’s Longharvest Lane in east London.

Created by Torchwood and No Offence writer Paul Tomalin, the drama follows four detectives across the different timelines as they become determined to solve the mystery.

As their parallel investigations begin to converge, they reveal a sinister conspiracy spanning more than 160 years that threatens the UK – with all clues leading to enigmatic political figure Elias Mannix (played by Stephen Graham). How is he connected to the murder?

‘It’s tricky to talk about the plot and my character’s journey as there’s a lot there,’ says Boiling Point and Time star Graham, 50. ‘It’s so suspenseful; you don’t really know what’s going to happen next.
