Murdaugh Murders
Available: Thu 4 July Genre: Drama Season: 1 Episodes: 2
Based on a true story that made headlines around the world, Murdaugh Murders sees Hollywood star Bill Pullman play South Carolina attorney Alex Murdaugh, who becomes the prime suspect in the double murder of his wife Maggie (Lauren K. Robek) and son Paul (Curtis Tweedie).
The two-part dramatic re-enactment of the real-life crime – which has already been the subject of a gripping Netflix docuseries – follows Murdaugh as he finds himself knee-deep in shady business dealings, tax evasion and money laundering.
With his financial crimes about to be discovered by the US Department of the Treasury, Murdaugh spirals out of control. But when Maggie and Paul are shot multiple times at the family’s estate in South Carolina, he claims that he was miles away at the time visiting his mother. Later, however, the local community is shocked when he’s arrested for the murders.
