Bake Off: The Professionals Tuesday, 8pm, C4

Comedian, writer and Ted Lasso actor Ellie Taylor adds yet another string to her bow this week, co- hosting one of the tastiest jobs in TV – Bake Off: The Professionals.

‘I have a sweet tooth, so this is a dream gig,’ says Taylor, who’s no stranger to competitive reality shows, having stood in to host The Great Pottery Throw Down when presenter Siobhán McSweeney broke her leg.

‘I loved doing The Great Pottery Throw Down but there was nothing to eat, whereas there are morsels everywhere on this show – including a chocolate cupboard. It’s an absolute delight.’

Taylor joins Junior Bake Off judge Liam Charles to co-host the eighth series, which again pits teams of professional pastry chefs against each other in a series of fiendishly difficult challenges.

Pastry experts Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden will judge once more, accepting nothing less than perfection, as they tell TV&Satellite Week
