Steve and Tracy face a libel case when Amy goes public about her assault

The law has failed Amy Barlow, who was raped by so-called pal Aaron when she was blind drunk. As the student fears for the safety of other women, she makes the bold decision to go public about her ordeal… only for Aaron’s dad to announce he’s suing her for libel.

What tips Amy over the edge is seeing Aaron back with his ex, Mia. Amy fears she could become Aaron’s next victim, so she puts her in the picture about what she went through.

But Mia refuses to accept that Aaron could commit such a heinous act and believes his claim that Amy ‘cried rape’ after regretting their one-night stand. She’s so appalled that she reports Amy for harassment, and Amy’s then stunned to get a visit from DS Swain.
