As a biologist, Liz Bonnin is used to studying our planet’s living species, but an invite to investigate a dinosaur graveyard was an offer she couldn’t refuse.

‘Helping to uncover the fossils of giants from 150 million years ago was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down,’ says the presenter, who, in BBC2’s two-part special, Secrets of the Jurassic Dinosaurs, travels to the Badlands in Wyoming, USA, where a treasure trove of dinosaur bones has been unearthed.

‘The Jurassic came to life in ways I could have never imagined,’ says Liz, 46. ‘It was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure I’ll never forget.’
