TV vet Noel Fitzpatrick has spent 15 years pioneering bionic limbs for pets. But for a safari special, he is in South Africa using his skills to help transform the lives of wild endangered animals.
First up, he’s called to help three-year-old rhino Kolisi, who was mauled by hyenas and had to have his foot amputated. Now, the team caring for him hope Noel can give his input into creating a bionic limb strong enough to support Kolisi’s one-ton weight.
