There are as many ski resorts out there as there are ways of dressing—and each with a style to suit all skiers (and non-skiers). Some offer terrain suited to the experts; others focus on low and slow peaks for intermediate types; and still others cater to those who prefer to take in the action from the comfort of a terrace, après-ski Champagne in hand. We talked to some of the world's top skiers and snowboarders, all Moncler ambassadors, to find the best location, whatever type of vacation you're looking for.
If It's Really All About the Après-Ski
Whistler, British Columbia
Whistler Blackcomb, the largest ski resort in North America, offers no shortage of thrills, but it's off the slopes where this destination really stands out. You have the iconic dives at the resort's base, but there are moments of quiet luxury to be found, too, if you know where to look—like roasting s'mores over the fire pits at Nita Lake Lodge. The food scene is one of the best you'll find in any ski town, offering everything from tapas at Bar Oso to rare cuts of steak sourced from Canada and abroad at Sidecut. "The town is right at the base of the mountain, so when you're coming off a long day of skiing, everyone meets at the same place," says snowboarder Shaun White, a three-time Olympic gold medalist. "Canadians are some of the best people on the planet to have a drink with!"
