A new dawn filled with hopes and anticipation awaits the world of horology as a new season of novelties awaits. The season begins with LVMH Watch Week- held in Miami in late January - led by Bvlgari, Hublot, TAG Heuer and Zenith.
Given the recent reorganisation within the LVMH watch division, all eyes will be on Frédéric Arnault - recently appointed CEO of LVMH Watches. Julien Tornare was announced as Frédéric Arnault's successor as CEO of TAG Heuer, while the incoming Benoit de Clerck completes the game of musical chairs - taking the hot seat as CEO of Zenith. Geneva, the cradle of watchmaking, hosts Watches and Wonders a few months later in April before other editions such as Geneva Watch Week, Dubai Watch Week and Watches and Wonders China (subject to confirmation and change) pepper the calendar year.
As with every impending watch fair, speculation about what the big boys will bring to the table is rife. Forums, Telegram groups and the Instagram comment sections will buzz with hopes and predictions (or even leaks!).
Instead of chipping in with our predictions, Men's Folio offers a three-way commentary on what 2024 holds for the world of horology led by Asaph Low, Ashok Soman - Editor-in-Chief of World of Watches and freelance contributor Ben Kwok.
COLLABORATIONS
