FOR ARCHANA SORENG, climate action is intrinsically linked to the participation and leadership of indigenous communities in decision-making processes locally, nationally and globally. The 26-year-old climate activist has been a vocal advocate and representative of the indigenous outlook in the international arena, including the Climate Change Conference (COP27) that was recently held in Egypt. “One of the key things for me, in terms of climate action and engaging in these places, is also about reclaiming these spaces,” she says.
