More and more Australians are choosing healthier lifestyles and seeking out sustainably produced food, drinks, household items and cosmetics. Australian Organic Awareness Month is all about raising awareness of what organic actually means and the variety of organic products available on the market.
In Australia, organic products are free range with no artificial additives, synthetic chemicals or GMOS (genetically modified organisms). This means that by choosing organic, you are choosing a product that was grown the way nature intended, and using sustainable and regenerative methods.
From starting the day with breakfast right through to your morning tea or coffee, lunch, dinner, dessert and beverages (both non-alcoholic and alcoholic), there are myriad organic food and drink choices to suit everyone in your household. Supermarkets also stock a variety of organic baby and toddler food, and of course there's some great organic choices for your pets too.
