Cats are a popular choice amongst pet-parents, and it is not difficult to see why. If we were to go a little statistical, then about 25% of U.S. households own at least one of these cute furballs as their live-in friend. Yes, they can be quite mischievous and they might obstruct your desktop screen as you work, but they mean well, and are only just fishing for attention! 1. Despite being named Persian, its exact origins are actually a little obscure. But, it grabbed the attention of Europeans when it was spotted with the diplomats stationed in the Middle East as they brought it back to England and other European countries in the mid-1800s. This included two breeds - the Persians and the Angoras - and the Persian cat was an immediate hit amongst everyone.
2. Persian cats are as friendly as dogs, but they are also as lazy as them - it’s not just good looks that they possess! They’re actually called ‘dog cats’ by people since they really like people, well, for a cat that is!
