This disposition is inherent in Nature. The advantage for optimists is that they get their enthusiasm, their energy and they are happy. In life, we don’t know everything and we are just carrying on. In that uncertain atmosphere, we doubt, worry and remain anxious every moment, which is an unfortunate approach.
Basic acceptance is necessary. We accept the world; we accept that there is benevolence. We are not born to be killed, that does not happen. There are so many supportive factors that keep helping us. And on that note, to continuously keep doing our work, our duties, is a good approach. The other approach is to see all kinds of mistakes, all kinds of evil, and keep on thinking, believing and discussing that ‘the world is going to the dogs’ and ‘things were so much better a few thousand years ago’. In reality, a few thousand years ago, the same problems were there. They found a scroll in Babylonia, 5000 years old. On the scroll, it was written that the world is going to the dogs, children don’t obey their parents. This was written so long ago; today we have the same problems.
