This is a modern family garden boasting clean and simple lines, recycled brick and timber for textural interest, and a multi-level design that turns the site's natural slope into an asset. Mark Tisdell from MUD Landscape Design was asked to prepare a landscape concept design for the garden that incorporated a swimming pool, level turf areas, a trampoline area, a shade structure to the existing deck, layered gardens incorporating herbs and vegetables, and a smattering of fruit trees.
"The design sought to capture and embrace the essence of the site and blend seamlessly with the architecture of the existing residence," says Mark. "The goal was to make best use of the available space and aspect, increase privacy from neighbours and create a series of different terraces and zones that would be functional, beautiful and enjoyable to use.
