1 Update cabinets

You don't have to tear out old cabinetry to give your kitchen a fresh new look. Try these easy ways to refresh your cabinets with paint, molding, inserts, and new hardware.

Update an old cabinet door by adding a glass panel. You can order panels from a glass shop, selecting between clear, frosted, reeded, or ribbed glass for a unique look. Use a router to remove the center panel, then sand and paint if desired. Have the glass cut to size, adding an extra half-inch on each side. Place the glass piece on the back of the frame and secure it with clips.
