MEET & GREET
Prudence (artist) and Damian Oliveri (building and construction company founder), Theodore, eight, Luella, four, Greta the mini dachshund and Humphrey the short-haired pointer.
THE PROPERTY
A renovated mid-century beach house.
LOCATION, LOCATION "I find myself in the kitchen a lot, and as it's situated in the centre of the house, I can see the kids playing in the garden or the lounge room," Prudence says of the kitchen's ideal position. TOP TILES The home's original slate flooring was replaced with European terracotta roof tiles, which were installed in a herringbone pattern. INSIDE OUT Floor-to-ceiling glass windows offer unobstructed views of the backyard, allowing the garden to be enjoyed year-round.
A CLASSIC
Terracotta tiles have enduring appeal
When abstract artist Prudence Oliveri and her husband Damian, the founder of a design and construction company, were searching for their next home and renovation project six years ago, they never expected to purchase Prudence's former childhood home. But, in what can only be described as a twist of fate, that's exactly what happened.
