Alaya, with her infectious energy and unfiltered honesty, has carved a niche for herself in an industry she once had no plans of joining. But destiny, it seems, had other ideas. From avoiding the limelight to embracing it with grace, she has proven that sometimes the best stories are the ones we never planned. Beyond the spotlight, whether she is dropping fun and fierce fitness videos or sharing those candid, unfiltered moments, she is refreshingly real. In an exclusive conversation, Alaya lets us into her world—her love for cinema, her tryst with destiny, her incredible support system, and her future.

How has the journey been so far?

The journey this far has been quite remarkable. My debut film, Jawaani Jaaneman, holds a particularly special place in my heart. Even today, when I revisit the film, I am filled with a deep sense of affection for it. However, shortly after its release, the world faced an unprecedented challenge—the pandemic—which resulted in a threeyear hiatus between my first and second films. Now, I finally feel as though I have regained my footing. With two successful releases this year, I am eager to continue this momentum and achieve even greater milestones.

What is your long-term goal as an actress?

As I grow, my goals evolve. Currently, I am focused on finding good scripts and giving my all to acting. I believe great scripts paired with dedicated performances create lasting impressions. My aim is to deliver performances that resonate with audiences and make me someone worth remembering.
