Before taking the film industry by storm, Kriti Sanon was just a girl next door who was dedicated towards her studies, loved dancing and focused on following her path. But fate and hard work led her to tinsel town where her career graph has seen a steady upward curve over the last few years. However, despite being one of the most sought-after actors in Bollywood, Kriti remains the humble, practical, and passionate person she was before the glamour world beckoned.

Reminiscing about how it all began, Kriti expresses gratitude towards her supportive parents and her upbringing. “Education was always given a lot of importance in my family, and rightly so,” she says. “I had started modelling as a hobby alongside my B.Tech course. I got two job offers after my graduation, but I decided to move to Mumbai to give acting a shot. There were too many whatifs (associated with this career) which is why my parents insisted on having a plan B - studying further. And I did. This made me feel less insecure, provided stability, and helped me focus on acting. I was passionate but not desperate.”

Kriti admits that she used to be a shy and introverted person. After eight years in the film industry, she has become much more confident and takes less time to open up. “I am always eager to learn and improve myself. Whatever I have learned, I have learned on this job,” she says.
