Under the hood, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, a tweaked version that boasts a higher clock rate on its prime core (our Geekbench 6 snapshot clocked it at 4.47GHz). Paired with 12GB of RAM, it's built for demanding tasks like video editing and smooth 120Hz gaming, while staying cool at around 37°C during intense benchmarks.
The design of the S25 Ultra is where Samsung shows its evolution.
The handset is the most iPhone-looking Galaxy S yet, following what Samsung calls "Essential Design." With angular, flat sides and rounded corners to soften the look, it exudes confidence and premium quality.
The thicker camera rings add a sense of weight and distinction, although the frosted rear can diminish its elegance for someluckily, that can be easily remedied with a phone case or by opting for the Titanium Jetblack colourway instead of our sample's Titanium Silverblue.
One small gripe, however, is the flat design making the 77.6mm width feel a bit wide in onehanded use.
The 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display is as impressive as ever, offering a crisp resolution of 3,120 x 1,440 pixels and a variable 120Hz refresh rate. It's smooth in everyday use and performs brilliantly under bright sunlight.
