Smaller, Lighter, Smarter

When it comes to second-generation products, you expect improvements, and the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 certainly delivers.

Smaller, Lighter, Smarter

Google has refined its flagship earbuds in several meaningful ways, making them smaller, lighter, and significantly improving both active noise cancellation (ANC) and sound quality. With a new Tensor AI chip handling multi-path audio processing, you can expect a smoother sound experience, where audio signals aren't compromised by ANC.

Outwardly, the charging case looks nearly identical to the first-generation Pixel Buds Pro, with a sleek, pebble-like shape. The only noticeable change is a small speaker by the USB-C charging port that pairs with the new "Find My Device" feature a welcome addition that can help you locate your misplaced buds. Inside the case, the real improvements become apparent. The earbuds are smaller by 27% and lighter by 24%, now weighing just 4.7 grams each.

This reduction in size isn't just about aesthetics. Google claims that 45 million ear scans were used to perfect the shape, resulting in a more comfortable fit. A new stabilizer fin further helps to keep the earbuds securely in place, a feature that enhances stability during physical activity. Despite their smaller size, the earbuds maintain their strong magnetic hold in the case, which might make them a bit tricky to pull out, but ensures they won't accidentally fall out.
