Since its 2022 release, Netflix’s true-crime series Dahmer – Monster:  The Jeffrey Dahmer Story has gripped audiences with its depiction of the life and crimes of the notorious killer. But it’s also opened old wounds for the victim’s loved ones.

Rita Isbell, the 64- year-old sister of one of Dahmer’s victims, was most upset by a courtroom scene that depicted her victim impact statement – and culminated in her screaming at the killer.

“If I didn’t know any better, I would’ve thought it was me,” Rita, whose brother, Errol Lindsey, was Dahmer’s 11th victim, told Insider. “It brought back all the emotions I was feeling back then.”
