That's why Newsweek has once again partnered with global research firm. Statista to rank the world's best-specialized hospitals. This year, we expanded our rankings to cover the best facilities in 12 specialties, with the addition of obstetrics & gynecology.
The full ranking online features the top 300 hospitals for cardiology and oncology; the top 250 for pediatrics; the top 150 for cardiac surgery, endocrinology and gastroenterology; the top 125 for neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, pulmonology and urology; and the top 100 for obstetrics & gynecology (see Newsweek.com/wbsp-2024; a smaller number appears in print due to space constraints). We hope this ranking is helpful when deciding on the right hospital for yourself or a loved one.
METHODOLOGY
The World's Best Specialized Hospitals 2024 ranking awards the leading hospitals worldwide in 12 medical fields: cardiac surgery, cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, oncology, pediatrics, pulmonology, urology and (for the first time) obstetrics & gynecology.
The lists are based on a global survey, to which tens of thousands of medical professionals (doctors, health care professionals and hospital managers) were invited.
The ranking features the top 300 hospitals for cardiology and oncology; the top 250 for pediatrics; the top 150 for cardiac surgery, endocrinology and gastroenterology; the top 125 for neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, pulmonology and urology; and the top 100 for obstetrics & gynecology. PARIS HILTON AND NICOLE RICHIE ARE READY TO BRING A LITTLE “SANASA” to the world with Peacock's Paris & Nicole: The Encore, their first project together since their reality show The Simple Life ended in 2007. What's “sanasa”? It's a song and phrase the longtime friends created as kids and popularized on The Simple Life. The show, a cultural phenomenon in the early days of reality TV, followed them over a series of blue-collar jobs. Now they're bringing it back as an opera. “I know this is just going to make people laugh, have fun, be nostalgic and just celebrate our friendship,” Hilton said. While Richie acknowledged “you can't do Simple Life again,” she said now “felt like the right time.” The famous pair also revisit some old jobs in Arkansas, like fast-food chain Sonic, where they now have drinks named for them. “I think that there is a part of our friend- ship that the show ended up showing that people connect to,” Richie said. As for this new special, Hilton is glad to do something positive for their fans. “It's been such a crazy past couple years, and I just feel like the world needs more joy.”
