Between October 30 and November 4, 2024, these sites experienced a significant surge in footfall. Many tourists opted for road travel, driven by high airfares and the limited availability of hotel rooms and luxury buses.
Record numbers at spiritual sites
Gujarat's top religious and cultural destinations reported a remarkable rise in visitors compared to last year.
Leading the pack was Dwarka, which hosted an impressive 5.39 lakh tourists, up from 4.18 lakh in 2023.
Ambaji in Banaskantha followed closely with 3.93 lakh visitors, an increase from 3.45 lakh last year.
