Female doc at Civil Hospital harassed in lift, plaint filed

As the nation rallies in protest against the rape and brutal murder of a doctor in Kolkata, another shocking incident has emerged, highlighting the vulnerability of medical professionals.

A resident doctor at Civil Hospital, Asarwa, has fallen victim to harassment, adding fuel to the ongoing outcry. A police complaint has been lodged against the perpetrator.

The incident occurred last week when a third-year MBBS student was descending in a lift. The students are currently housed in the Lions Club building within the Civil Hospital premises due to ongoing hostel repairs.

Typically, students use lift number 2, which was out of service at the time.
