GIA teachers' assn writes to edu min to push for demands

Calls for immediate action on demands that were approved earlier

Members of Gujarat Rajya Adhyapak Mandal on Monday wrote to the state education minister, expressing frustration over the government's failure to make an announcement regarding implementation of schemes for teachers in grant-in-aid colleges. The state government had made a formal commitment two months ago about it. The members listed at least five such decisions, including increase in medical allowance and salary for part-time teachers working for 15 to 20 years.
