Visnagar, Gujarat - November 28, 2024: Sankalchand Patel University in Visnagar marked a momentous occasion on Thursday, November 28, 2024, with the grand celebration of its 7th Convocation Ceremony.

The event was held in conjunction with the 38th death anniversary of the university's visionary founder, Late Shri Sankalchandbhai Patel, a freedom fighter and dedicated leader who played a crucial role in the development of both the university and the region.

The day began with a floral tribute program at 8:30 AM, held at various locations in Visnagar where statues of Sankalchandbhai Patel stand. The tribute ceremony was attended by dignitaries and citizens, including the university's president, Shri Prakashbhai Patel, who honored the founder's monumental contributions to education and the growth of Visnagar.

The convocation ceremony for the academic year 2023-24 commenced at 5:00 PM, with the arrival of distinguished guests. The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Shri R.P. Patel, Chairman of the World Umiya Foundation, along with Special Guests Hon'ble Mukeshbhai Patel, MLA of Mehsana Constituency, and Shri Chintanbhai Thaker, Director and Group President of the Welspun Group, whose presence added further prestige to the occasion.
