The Gujarat High Court has ordered a city-based father to provide monthly maintenance of Rs 10000 to his son who is a US citizen. The HC issued the order while taking note of the settlement between the husband and wife. The couple agreed to part ways with each other as the wife has been living in the US for more than a decade while the husband lives in Ahmedabad after he failed to get a US Visa despite repeated attempts.
The couple married in 2005 and decided to shift to the USA for further study. Both applied for a visa and the wife managed to secure a student visa while the husband failed.
