Turncoats to wait for 10 yrs for a post in BJP

State party president CR Paatil holds meeting on Wednesday, makes new announcements for the party organisation

Much is about to change in the BJP set-up in the state. For starters, the long-pending displeasure among members over turncoats getting important organisational positions immediately after joining might soon be a thing of the past.

The party has announced that all new entrants will have to complete 10 years as active members before being given a place in the organisational set-up.

At a meeting held at the party headquarters Kamalam on Wednesday, state BJP president CR Paatil outlined various measures for the party organisation. BJP general secretary V Ratnakar was also present in the meeting.

In a significant move, the BJP has set an age limit for committee members at various levels. More youngsters will be given a place in the organisational set-up.
