Bone-chilling details have emerged in the honour killing of 19-year-old girl Mansi alias Heena who had an affair with a boy from her own Gotra (clan) and whom she had been adamant about marrying. Her family strangled her to death to escape the shame of a same-Gotra marriage. Cops have learned that the victim's father and uncle brought along a female relative to hoodwink Mansi and that she witnessed the murder.
Arvindinsh Solanki, Mansi's father and his brother Popatsinh killed her on the banks of the Narmada Canal between Vadodara and Halol and then cremated her body at a crematorium at Bakrol in Kanbha, Ahmedabad.
Investigators told Mirror that the father and uncle took a third person, a female relative and her three-yearold child with them to the crime spot to ensure Mansi did not suspect any foul play.
