LOTTIE FRY hailed the equestrian team's togetherness after winning their fifth medal at a Games that began shrouded in controversy.
Fry, 28, on board Glamourdale, said the dressage campaign could not have "ended any better" banking individual bronze.
That followed a third-place finish in Saturday's team final where she was joined by Carl Hester, 57, and last-minute call-up Becky Moody, 44 - plus last week's team eventing and jumping golds and Laura Collett's individual bronze.
And, while the reaction to Charlotte Dujardin's whipping scandal will rumble on, Fry praised those behind the scenes for keeping the rest of the team on a path to success.
"It has brought us so close as a team," said Fry.
