As the Princess of Wales gazed lovingly at her husband and played with their children, she wore the look of a person who had emerged from the depths of despair with renewed gratitude.
In her most candid video yet, Kate told how her chemotherapy is over and she is looking forward to resuming some royal duties.
But the Princess also spoke of the long road ahead to full recovery as she concentrates on her health.
She revealed her fight with the dreaded disease made her appreciate the simple things in life we can often take for granted.
Kate, 42, said: "As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy.
"The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.
"The cancer journey... brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities, and with it a new perspective on everything.
"This time has reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted.
Of simply loving and being loved.
