A 'crazy' opening day of Test cricket saw South Africa and India trade blows so quickly that a trip to the toilet would have cost viewers a huge slice of the action.

Having bowled the Proteas out for just 55 inside 24 overs at Newlands, India went from total control to utter disarray as they lost six wickets for no runs to collapse from 153-4 to 153 all out.

And former India coach turned commentator Ravi Shastri (right) put it bluntly when he said on air: "My goodness... from 153-4 to 153 all out.

If someone went round the corner for a dump and has come back, India have been bowled out for 153.

Shastri could scarcely believe what he had witnessed across 58 overs of Test cricket and there was still more to come with South Africa losing a further three wickets before the close leaving them trailing by 36 runs.
