BORIS Johnson was not just partying at No10 while the rest of us were in lockdown - he now stands accused of inviting his chums to his country pile, too.

The Partygate ex-Prime Minister has already been fined for breaking the antivirus rules his own Government set.

But now claims he had friends over to official residence Chequers while he was PM during lockdown have been referred to police by the Cabinet Office.

Several visits to the Buckinghamshire retreat were highlighted during preparations for a public inquiry into the pandemic. Information has been sent to the Met and Thames Valley Police.

Both forces said they had received information about potential breaches of the Health Protection Regulations between June 2020 and May 2021.
