Nick's Strictly future hangs in the balance due to injury

CROCKED Nick Knowles will find out today if he can continue on Strictly Come Dancing.

A decision was left until the last minute to give DIY SOS star's knee the best chance of recovering.

But insiders say the problem lies with the dance that caused his injury the Charleston - which is impossible to perform without lots of leg flicks and knee action.

Nick, 62, has returned to training with permission to do the routine, which he learnt before pulling out of Movie Week last Saturday.

And he remains "hopeful I'll be dancing on Saturday" with pro partner Luba Mushtuk, to Rain on the Roof from Paddington 2.

But the Charleston is hard on the knees because of the continuous twisting and turning involved - plus the famous "knock knee" move.
