FIN WANTS TO BE STARTER FOR 10

FIN SMITH added one more thing to his season's wish list after winning the Premiership on Saturday an England start.

The Northampton fly-half came off with cramp with 10 minutes left in Saints nerveshredding 25-21 Twickenham final win over Bath but is set to join up with England today.

With a league winners' medal in his pocket, Smith heads to camp ahead of the summer trip to Japan and New Zealand and is eyeing the white No.10 shirt.

Smith won two caps off the bench in the Six Nations but was behind George Ford and Marcus Smith in the pecking order when both were fit.

But injury-victim Ford has now been ruled out of the entire tour.

And the 22-year-old is ready to stake his claim for the starting berth in Tokyo, Dunedin and Auckland when the squad leaves on Wednesday.
