Umar Mahmood, 18, died on Thursday, two days after the Audi he was driving left the road and hit trees.

He was one of a group of teenagers given a chance at playing cricket by the former Lancashire and England allrounder Andrew "Freddie" Flintoff in the first series of the BBC TV show.

Umar's father Shahid said he is "heartbroken" adding: "To lose my son is terrible. I am very sad. His mother is doing OK but we are very sad."
