Freed speedboat killer invited back to Georgia

A LAWYER who represented freed speedboat killer Jack Shepherd has invited him back to Georgia, where he lived as a fugitive.

Mariam Kublashvili told the web designer, who fled justice to the former Soviet state, that he was "a good man".

In a nauseating message, the ex-model, 38, wrote: "I'm so happy to hear you are a free man.

"You paid a very high price, but did so with dignity and your head held high.

"You were vilified in Britain and I am afraid you will always be known as 'the speedboat killer', but you are very welcome to return to Georgia, where you have friends who would welcome you.
