WHEN Yashasvi Jaiswal was caught here yesterday, once more it was time to dust down the record books.

Not for the Indian batsman who had been the star of their first innings with 209 - though his time for history-making will surely come.

It was the bowler celebrating his dismissal for 17 who had another landmark to his name. In just under six months, James Anderson will be 42 but the Lancastrian is now the oldest pace bowler to play in a Test in India.

By removing Jaiswal, who was caught by Joe Root (far right), Anderson became the oldest pace bowler to take five wickets in a Test for 101 years.
