DISTRAUGHT neighbours have told how they could hear piercing screams as a deadly blaze ripped through a house, killing a mum and her three children.
And they paid emotional tributes to Bryonie Gawith, 29, Denisty-mai, nine, Oscar, five, and 22-month-old Aubree, who were named by Supt Lucy Leadbeater as the victims of yesterday's alleged 2am arson attack.
Detectives launched a murder investigation after the blaze and said a 39-year-old man was held on suspicion of murder at the scene. He was last night critical in hospital.
They are treating the horror as a domestic-related incident.
It is understood the children's devastated dad was last night being comforted by family liaison officers.
Neighbours have left floral tributes at the scene. One note read: "Thinking of you at this difficult time. Have fun in heaven. We will miss you."
LIGHTNING
Another said: "I love you all, all this world and more. I will miss you forever. Miss you my beautiful angels." Residents recalled the moment they realised the house was going up in flames, as around five fire engines and six ambulances arrived.
One said: "There was really thick smoke coming up the street. It filled the whole area. It looked foggy. It was totally overwhelming.
