HEZBOLLAH BLITZ KILLS 7 IN ISRAEL

SEVEN people were killed in two separate Hezbollah rocket attacks on northern Israel, authorities say.

Five people died in the border town of Metula and two more hours later in a strike near the port city of Haifa.

The deadliest single toll claimed by Hezbollah since 12 died in July came as reports claimed Iran plans a retaliatory attack on Israel - possibly before Tuesday's US presidential election.

On Saturday, Israel carried out what it called "precise and targeted" airstrikes on Iran, in retaliation for the barrage of strikes from Tehran last month.

Last night, Israeli intelligence was said to believe Tehran plans a large-scale attack, possibly using Iranbacked militia located in Iraq.

Sources told the Mirror it is likely Israel will use the intelligence to launch pre-emptive strikes on Iranian funded targets in Iraq, such as the Popular Mobilisation Forces.
