POLICE last night warned the public not to approach escaped prisoner Daniel Abed Khalife, amid questions over how he was allowed to flee under the noses of guards.
The former soldier, who is on terror charges, sparked a nationwide hunt after vanishing from a kitchen at high-security Wandsworth in South West London yesterday in a chef outfit.
A Prison Service source said Khalife, accused of a bomb hoax, clung to the bottom of a delivery van.
The service added: "We are working with the Metropolitan Police to recapture this prisoner and are urgently investigating how he escaped."
A Met Police spokesman said: "If seen, the public are advised not to approach Khalife and to call 999.
