Real Madrid have a special relationship with this Cup. The 14-time champions always find a way

IT'S A MAD WORLD

REAL MADRID possess an air of invincibility in the Champions League.

They have won the trophy 14 times and have not lost a European final since 1983 when Sir Alex Ferguson's Aberdeen beat them in the Cup Winners' Cup.

It is little wonder that history and success leaves many opponents beaten even before the game kicks off.

It is why there will also be a feeling of inevitability at Wembley tonight.

Jude Bellingham will take centre stage at Wembley as Real Madrid's latest superstar but it is also the experience within their ranks which makes Borussia Dortmund huge underdogs.

Veterans Luka Modric (below), Nacho and Dani Carvajal can all win the cup with Madrid for a sixth time.

Toni Kroos will be playing his final club game for Madrid as he retires after the Euros.

The 34-year-old (right) has won four European Cups with the Spanish giants and got a medal when Bayern Munich won it in 2014, even though he missed the final through injury.
