PEP GUARDIOLA has branded suggestions his Manchester City side could dominate football at home and abroad as “stupid”.
The 48 hours since City wrapped up a fifth Premier League title in six years has been filled with sky-high praise for a squad that is pulling miles clear of the opposition.
But Guardiola was quick to knock down theories they are becoming unstoppable.
He insisted they could yet fall flat on their faces against Manchester United and Inter Milan in their chase for a treble.
“When people are going to say now that next season Manchester City can win the Premier League, they are stupid comments,” he said.
“Next season will be tough because all the clubs want to beat us. That is the challenge.
