Coroner warns of more tragedy until predator checks improved

A CORONER has called for tighter monitoring of sex predators to avoid another tragedy after the murder and kidnap of Leah Croucher.

Tom Osborne warned that current supervision of convicted offenders was not robust enough and may lead to more deaths like tragic Leah, 19. She vanished in February 2019 while walking to work in Furzton, Milton Keynes, Bucks.

Her dismembered remains were found in October 2022 in an attic at a home less than half a mile from where she was last seen.
