BUSINESSMAN Doug Barrowman refused to be grilled by prosecutors at his £5million fraud trial in Spain yesterday.
His Tory peer wife Baroness Michelle Mone, 52, stayed away from the embezzlement case in Santander for the second day running.
Barrowman, 58, faces a jail sentence of up to five and a half years plus a hefty fine if convicted of misappropriation and tax fraud.
He and Mone are separately under investigation for fraud by the UK National Crime Agency over their role in a £200m PPE deal. Mone declined to comment yesterday on Barrowman's legal battle in Spain.
