A MUM has flown to Tenerife to join the desperate search for her 19-year-old son who went missing after attending a music festival.
A helicopter, drones and mountain rescue teams have scoured the Spanish island for Jay Slater, last heard from in a panicked call on Monday at 8.30am.
Jay, who had been at the New Rave Generation festival, is thought to have met some new friends.
But after leaving their accommodation he rang his friend Lucy to say he was lost, needed water and that his phone's battery was down to 1%.
