A STAMP collector's step-daughter initially left £15,000 in his will ended up with just £1 after he changed it to give his carer the bulk of his estate.

Ray Watts originally planned to divide the £250,000 among family members.

But he wrote a new will in 2019, leaving his children with £15,000 each and the rest to carer Sue Pope. He had also sold his £200,000 stamp collection, dating back to the 1840s, to her for £1.

However, in 2020, Ray executed a codocil - altering the effect of that will slashing step-daughter Beverley Neate's share to a "deliberately derisory" £1 before he died the following year aged 90.
