Joe Biden's son has become the first child of a sitting US president to be a criminal defendant after jury selection began in his gun charges case.
Hunter Biden has been accused of lying about his drug use on application forms he filled out to buy a handgun in 2018.
The 54-year-old could face up to 25 years in prison if convicted of the three federal counts.
It comes less than a week after Donald Trump's hush-money case conviction in New York where he was the first former President to go on trial in a criminal court.
