RICHARD and Jackie Adams are living proof of love at first sight, after he proposed just three hours after they met, leading to a marriage that has lasted 57 years.
Richard, now 78, met 73-year-old Jackie at a wedding anniversary party held by her best friend's parents in December 1966.
He asked her to dance, walked her home and popped the question on her doorstep. Jackie held off answering for a few weeks but eventually said yes and they tied the knot five months later.
The "inseparable" couple went on to have four children Mandy, 56, Nicholas, 53, Teresa, 50, and Rachel, 45.
