FAMILIES of mass-fatality victims should get more empathy and understanding, a review found.
A report into the 1989 Hillsborough disaster, which killed 97, found families had waited more than 23 years for faceto-face meetings about postmortems.
It called for better communication as there were also delays following the 2017 Manchester Arena terror attack.
Paul Price, whose partner Elaine McIver was one of 22 people killed, did not meet the pathologist until 2023.
